What is with humanity today???

What is with humanity today, more specifically the people who think it is alright to walk into a public space and start shooting people/ places? I mean really what did those nameless people ever do to you? I mean in the matter of mere days LAX shooting three people shot, two killed, gunman okay in custody, and several people miss flights and are scared. The mall shooting in New Jersey okay the guy didn't hurt anyone but scared hundreds and ended up taking his own life.  A scary man with gun, sword, and body armor is seen walking around CCSU nothing came of that either other then a campus was on lock down and students and faculty were told to stay indoors, the gentleman that caused this problem said it was just a misunderstanding. Now I know that people do these kind of things because they are upset at the government (LAX shooter), Mentally unstable ( perhaps the New Jersey mall) and finally who knows ( CCSU) .  In all honesty perhaps shooting used to happen this frequently in the past and we just didn't have access to the information so quickly or maybe this is a part of a growing trend where people think it is acceptable to scare/ hurt someone else. I don't know about you but it scares me. There are people who say that we need more gun control, I am not sure that is going to help. Well some people also say this would not happen if everyone had a gun. In my opinion I don't think that is the answer either . Perhaps the answer is this in order to get a gun you must do the following: Prove that you are mentally stable, clear a criminal background check, attend a mandatory class on how to handle guns, safety , maintenance, have a secure place to keep it, and finally perhaps just perhaps if your child, friend, or acquaintance uses your gun in commission of a crime  you are held responsible for it meaning that you lent it to them and they walk in a blow people away with it or rob someone.. I am not saying that you go away forever I mean to say you face a lesser charge.( Let's face it if I walked over to my friend's house and asked if I could borrow their gun they would look at me like I was nuts, and then ask me why I want to use it. That right there would make me question why do I want to use their gun ?) I know that is unfair right? Well tell that to the children in Sandyhook, Columbine, the victims  Aurora Theater massacre all of whom were going to school or sitting down to watch a movie. I don't know the answers I know that guns by themselves do not kill people. For those of you who don't know me very well I don't think guns are evil people are evil... I don't have a gun myself but am perfectly fine with you having a gun as long as you know how and when to use it.
I realize that the police cannot always keep everyone safe. I realize that some have a gun to defend themselves, hunt and /or protect their loved ones and property , but do you need a Ouzi for that or a fully automatic rifle( sorry if I got the gun types wrong.) ? In summery guns don't kill people, people kill people using guns. I know nice right this is a animal rights blog but you know what some people killed in the aforementioned tragedies I am sure some of them must of had a animal that misses/ missed them. So yes it is about animals the human animal that we all are.  Remember that animal in your house is a lifetime commitment.

  1. The NRA, instead of promoting proper gun usage as a means of gun control, spends a larger part of its resources arguing that gun control of any kind is a bad thing. The Constitution guarantees the right to own a weapon, not the right to own an arsenal. It definitely doesn't say you have a right to own bombs or assault rifles. I suspect that had the Founding Fathers known what a controversy this would be in the distant future of now they would have been much more specific as to what they meant about the right to own weapons. People should be screened and trained properly before being sold a weapon. And the funny thing is that a lot of the people who seem to think that anyone should be able to own any weapon without any restrictions seem to be the sort of folks who think the government is out to get them or that the Chinese are going to invade. I think it is a simple reality issue, no disrespect intended. First, the government already knows everything about you and you are simply not important to them. They prove this all the time. Second, neither China nor Russia or any other nation wants to invade the U.S. Why go to the trouble of fighting a war which would likely end in nuclear holocaust for everyone when they can own us through trade imbalances and purchases of the souls of greedy businessmen? They write a check, everyone lives albeit with less freedom and no shots are fired. These arguments people come up with as to why everyone deserves a private arsenal if they desire are faulty. Finally, I think the argument about defending the family is a fine thing. But the image people often propose is armed gunmen busting into the home and murdering their way through the place. The whole point here is whether you have an arsenal, a 6-piece or a baseball bat, if you don't know they were coming you are dead no matter what. If you know they are coming, any kind of gun is about as effective as any other if you know how to use it. That's why I believe the NRA is going about its argument all wrong. Ignorance breeds ignorance. Nobody would argue (I hope) that you never give a screaming child sugar and hope they will be quiet. In same token, you don't give matches to an arsonist. And you don't allow just anyone to own as many firearms as they want of any type that they want and expect gun violence to decrease. Again, more of a bad thing doesn't make a bad thing better. Education is the answer.
